Sam Henderson has over thirty years of professional experience in the field of environmental science and policy. He served as the Mayor of Gulfport Florida for 12 years, preceded by 2 terms on city council. During this time, he also served on the Pinellas Planning Council, Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council's Agency on Bay Management and the Florida League of Cities Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee. Sam has been a Natural Sciences and public policy instructor at the University of South Florida and St. Petersburg College since 2018 and is a freelance writer for the Gulfport Gabber.
