I was born in Argentina where I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Math Education. In 1991, I moved to the United States from Israel after studying at the University of Tel Aviv. Later, living in California's multicultural environment made me realize the need to enhance the learning of foreign language in this country. I graduated with a Master's degree from the University of South Florida in 1996. I have devoted my professional career to exposing students to a challenging but stimulating communicative approach to learning a second language. My goals as a Spanish Professor at the Tarpon Springs Campus and as an online instructor are to enable students to reach a level of comfort and proficiency to communicate in an increasingly multilingual society and to encourage cultural awareness. Every summer I lead a study abroad program to a Spanish speaking country. Students participate in an immersion Spanish program and live with local families while participating in cultural activities, tours, and excursions. My interests include traveling, meeting people from other cultures, and outdoor recreation with my family. As a speaker of several different languages, I am convinced that "Learning another language means never being worlds apart."
