Educational background: A.S. degree in Health Information Management (HIM) from St. Johns River State College, B.S. in Management from Florida State College at Jacksonville. M.S. in HIM & online education from the College of St. Scholastica in Minnesota. Experience: 10 years retail operational management with Best Buy, 20 years HIM and operational management with Nemours Childrens Health System. 2.5 years with Privacy Compliance at UF Health and I currently work as an HIM Optimization Analyst with Advocate Health. Personal: I am married and have two wonderful boys. They are both grown. I am a very proud grandma of a beautiful girl. I also have a fur baby Daisy who is part Rhodesian Ridgeback. I love the work I do and I love helping students. My passion is getting new HIM'ers excited about the career path they have chosen and getting them involved in the HIM association.
