Welcome to SPC! I graduated from Gaither H.S. in 1993, University of Florida in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, minor in History. I studied abroad for a summer at St. Catherine's College in Cambridge, England while at UF. This experience shaped my future work in sociology and history - highly recommend a study abroad trip if you are able to. SPC has scholarships!

Amid working as a stockbroker for several years, I returned to my academic roots and earned my Master of Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2001. My master's thesis is a secondary analysis of nationwide housing discrimination from 1990-1999. I also served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA volunteer, a brief stint as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras, and a decade as a PR/Communications Specialist for a non-profit hospital system in Fairbanks, Alaska. Lately you can find me assisting students in the Accessibility Services dept. at the Tarpon Springs campus. I have two nearly grown sons, a sweet dog who keeps me active, and I love to travel in FL and beyond. I hate to miss sunrise or sunset; it signals the start and end of the day for me.
