Dr. Lindita Sanxhaktari

Professor of American National Government | St. Petersburg College

With great pleasure and a profound sense of purpose, I welcome you to my faculty profile at St. Petersburg College. Teaching is my lifelong passion, rooted in a genuine desire to see every student thrive. As your professor, I consider it a privilege to guide your educational journey. In my courses, we look beyond the textbook. Together, we build the critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills necessary to navigate the emerging professional world, while fostering a deep appreciation for global awareness and civic responsibility.

An Elite Academic & Instructional Foundation

My pedagogical approach is backed by interdisciplinary scholarship designed to give students a comprehensive worldview. My educational credentials include:

  • Doctorate (PhD) in Political Science
  • Master’s Degree in International Economics and Law
  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations (Minor in Communication)

For nearly a decade, I have had the privilege of teaching across a diverse portfolio of disciplines. My instructional expertise spans the fields of Political Science, Microeconomics, Private Law, and Public Relations, allowing me to offer students a highly integrated and practical learning experience.

Global Leadership & Human Rights Advocacy

What truly enriches my classroom is the real-world international experience I bring to SPC. Before committing fully to higher education, I served at the highest levels of public administration and global humanitarian advocacy.

  • Public Administration: Served at the Prefecture level in Albania, directly overseeing regional development in education, culture, and tourism, while reporting straight to the Prime Ministry.
  • Humanitarian Governance: Collaborated with prominent international non-governmental organizations, including the European Roma Rights Centre and Terre des Hommes.
  • Community Leadership: Served on the advisory board of the Union Confederation of Albania and directed a comprehensive Social Center. This vital facility provided essential services, including a Nursing Home, a Center for Disabled Individuals, and an Epicenter supporting Minorities & Low-income families.

Life Beyond the Classroom

Outside of my academic and civic commitments, I stay balanced by exploring the world through travel, swimming, reading, and participating in socio-political events.

I encourage all of my students to embrace every opportunity for growth and connection. Let’s work together to build an inspiring, collaborative academic community where diverse professional aspirations can take root and flourish!
