Jun ‘Thomas’ Ma earned his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and his MBA from Salisbury University in Maryland. He is an AP Computer Science Reader/Rater for the Educational Testing Service (ETS). He taught for six years at Shorecrest Preparatory School as a math and computer science teacher and later served as the Math Department Chair at Admiral Farragut Academy before joining SPC as a faculty member at CCIT. He was one of the three 2014 recipients of the Excellence in Math/Science Teacher Award by the Barrett Family Foundation. He is currently a faculty member in Computer Science at SPC Seminole. He primarily teaches courses in Cybersecurity and Data Science. He is also an active member of the Curriculum and Instruction Committee. His research interests include Spatial Database and Spatial Data Mining.
