Dr. Josip Katinic, DNP, NP-C, AACC is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in cardiology and associate of American College of Cardiology, specializing in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing since 2017. He provides advanced care for patients with Cardiac arrhythmias, intracardiac devices Pacemakers/ICD's, Cardiovascular Disease, advanced cardiomyopathies-including cardiac amyloidosis and hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy-as well as those living with POTS and Dysautonomia. Dr. Katinic practices at HCA Florida Heart Institute and also rounds at St. Anthony's Hospital. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Tampa and his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University in Chicago. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Katinic serves as a Principal Investigator for the ongoing LANTERN study and as an Associate Professor at St. Petersburg College of Nursing. A contributing author to Cardiac Nursing, 7th Edition (Wolters Kluwer), Dr. Katinic has published on psychosocial risk factors, arrhythmias, and sudden cardiac death. He has been recognized with multiple awards for clinical excellence, patient care, and nurse preceptorship.
