John V. Hargiss is an adjunct instructor of business and an experienced executive whose teaching draws on decades of leadership in healthcare, biomedical technology, and international management. He has taught online courses in introduction to business, entrepreneurship, international business, management, business law, and budgeting at St. Petersburg College. His academic background includes an M.B.A. in International Business from the University of Miami, where he received the Award of Academic Merit, a B.S. from the University of North Texas, and completion of the Strategic Planning Program residency at Harvard Business School.

Before and alongside his teaching, Mr. Hargiss held senior roles including president and chief executive officer of Cryo-Cell International, a publicly traded stem-cell banking company, and president and CEO of Biodynamics International, a multinational biomedical and medical-device firm. He previously served as vice president of marketing and sales at The BOC Group and as director of sales at Becton-Dickinson, and he has advised boards and chief executives through Strategic Resource Consulting on strategy, financing, turnarounds, and regulatory matters. His classroom perspective is shaped by work in public-company leadership, mergers and acquisitions, quality systems, and international operations across healthcare services, biologics, and medical technology.
