As an APRN, I worked in outpatient Sleep and Pulmonary Medicine. I am passionate about educating and training new nurses and served as a preceptor for four years prior to deciding to become a nursing instructor. I started my time as an instructor teaching simulation and clinical courses at Rasmussen University and joined St. Petersburg College in the Spring of 2025. Teaching Philosophy: As a nursing instructor, my teaching philosophy centers on fostering a compassionate, evidence-based learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, develop clinical reasoning skills and embrace lifelong learning. I believe in a student-centered approach, integrating hands-on practice, real-world case scenarios and collaborative discussions to promote both technical proficiency and compassionate care. By nurturing a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere, I aim to empower nursing students to confidently navigate a complex healthcare system, while prioritizing the well-being of their patients and their communities.
