Dr. Jennifer Fernandez, a lifelong resident of Pinellas County, Florida, is an educator with extensive experience across K–12 and higher education. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business, a Master’s in Education with ESOL and Reading Endorsements, and a Doctorate in Program Development and Educational Innovation. Since joining St. Petersburg College in 2010, Dr. Fernandez has taught Developmental Reading, Writing, and English for Academic Purposes, facilitated ESOL endorsement courses for Pinellas County teachers, and contributed to the Florida Department of Education’s Race to the Top initiative. In 2016, she became ESOL Faculty in SPC’s College of Education, and currently serves as the Director of the Office of School Partnerships for the College of Education. Dr. Fernandez is the proud mother of three daughters and enjoys spending time with her family, including their poodle and three cats. Together, they enjoy the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches and traveling. Passionate about teaching and lifelong learning, she values the opportunity to inspire and learn from her students.
