I am originally from Wisconsin but I attended graduate school studying coatings and polymeric materials at North Dakota State University. My dissertation research focused on the preparation of gold nanoparticles. After graduate school I did post doctoral research at UCF at the Nanoscience Technology Center in Orlando. I have previously taught at Florida Southern College and have been at SPC since 2012. My office is currently at the Gibbs campus and I mostly teach Chemistry 1 and 2. Outside of class I enjoy the outdoors and cooking on one of my grills.
