Ian Wilson Sr. is an Assistant Dean of the Communications Department at St. Petersburg College.
Previously, Ian Sr. served as a tenured Professor of English, Literature, and Creative Writing at St. Petersburg College and was an online Adjunct Instructor at HCC Ybor City Campus.
Ian Wilson Sr. began his college studies after high school, earning an Associate in Arts from St. Petersburg Junior College, now SPC.
He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Supervision, and a Master of Arts in English Education from the University of South Florida.
He is committed to fostering teacher-student partnerships in the classroom.
In 2025, he was accepted into the Doctor of Education program in Educational Program Development at the University of South Florida.
