Natural Sciences researcher and instructor committed to student success through compassionate, active learning and rigorous, values-driven, human-centered assessment that supports character development. I teach with an emphasis on scientific reasoning, data literacy, and real-world applications across biology and environmental science. My research examines Andean climate variability and the climate–ecosystem nexus using remote sensing and hydrological modeling. I contribute expert-level questions to Humanity’s Last Exam benchmark to audit Large Language Model capabilities, supporting assessment and course design that protects authentic human thinking and creativity.
