I was born in Michigan and raised in Mexico, and much of my life has been spent working and learning across Latin America. My doctorate is in Intercultural Studies, with a minor in Adult Education, and my dissertation focused on Miami’s cultural dynamics. Over the years, I’ve worked in medical research, sales, seminar training, and nonprofit consulting, experiences that continue to shape my teaching. While full-time at St. Petersburg College, I do occasionally continue to teach or consult in Latin America.

At St. Petersburg College, I teach courses in ethics, world religions, leadership, organizational behavior, and cultural diversity. My goal is to create a classroom environment that is respectful, engaging, and open to diverse perspectives. I ask students to come prepared so that our discussions can be lively, thoughtful, and connected to real-world decisions.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy gardening, reading history and science fiction, and spending time with my nine grandchildren. These personal interests remind me that learning is not only academic but also deeply connected to everyday life.
