My name is Professor Algiere, and I am a Registered Nurse (RN) with more than a decade of experience teaching healthcare subjects across Florida career colleges. Currently, my instructional focus at St Petersburg College centers on Term I Health Concepts, Pharmacology I, and Professional Nursing.

🎓 Professional & Educational Background

  • Instructional Expertise: My diverse teaching portfolio includes subjects such as College Math, Medical and Dental Assisting, Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Foundations of Nursing, Nursing Pharmacology, and clinical instruction in ASN and BSN programs.
  • Clinical Leadership: My teaching is deeply informed by my frontline clinical background, which includes serving as a Nursing Supervisor and providing direct patient care through the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

🎯 My Teaching Philosophy

  • Your Success is a Right: I firmly believe every student has a right to be successful and that all students possess the capacity to learn.
  • High Expectations for Excellence: I believe that an educator with high expectations can lead students toward the most positive outcomes.
  • Fostering Independence: I prioritize encouraging self-sufficiency to promote critical thinking in my students.
  • The Key to Maximum Potential: I believe that pride in one’s own academic achievements is the spark that stimulates the drive to reach your maximum potential and deliver the best possible care for patients.
