I received my BA from the University of Hartford with a double major in Secondary Education and History. I then went on to get my MA in History from the University of  Massachusetts. From there I started to teaching high school social studies in Vernon, Connecticut, and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While teaching, I decided that I had a passion for learning more about teaching and learning so I decided to return to school and pursue my Ph.D. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Teacher Education from Michigan State University. At Michigan State, I taught social studies methods courses to student teachers and worked with them in their placements. After the cold of Michigan, I headed south to Valencia College to work as a faculty developer and instructional designer who helped to support faculty with their curricular needs and worked on college-wide curriculum assessments and initiatives. I also taught as an adjunct as both an EPI and History professor. This is my fifth year with St. Petersburg College.

I look forward to working with you this semester!
