I moved from Detroit to the Tampa Bay area in 1998 to attend Clearwater Christian College, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in English. After graduation, I studied at Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary near Philadelphia and later earned my teaching certificate from Wayne State University in Detroit. I completed my Master of Arts in Literature with distinction from Liberty University in March 2025 and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English, also through Liberty. This year marks my 21st year teaching English — previously in public schools across Metro Detroit and Tampa — and my seventh year at Indian Rocks Christian School, where I currently teach AP Literature, AP Language, and Dual Enrollment Composition I and II. I am a passionate sports fan (especially of all things Detroit) and enjoy reading, music, movies, television, and video games in my free time. When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my kids and our dog.
