Lead faculty for Biomedical Engineering Technology at St. Petersburg College. Brian Bell earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida and his B.S. in Physics at Stetson University. During his education, his research focused on optimizing the functional properties of polymer microfibers and nanofibers for smart filters, sensors, and flexible electronics. Dr. Brian Bell also founded the HTM Workshop a company that offers educational videos at www.youtube.com/@HTMWorkshop and STEM kits for learners to develop skills to build and prototype medical devices and electronics. He has extensive experience in designing PCB prototypes for microcontrollers and biological sensors: Including software development for graphical user interfaces. He has published two textbooks in biomedical technology including “Essentials of Biomedical Engineering Technology and Healthcare Technology Management” and “Medical Device Networking and Cybersecurity”
