With over 20 years of nursing experience, I bring a deep commitment to advancing health equity, education, and clinical excellence. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Florida, and a Doctorate in Nursing Education from the University of South Florida, earned in 2014. As a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in women’s health, my clinical expertise spans community health nursing and women’s health promotion. My research interests include reducing health disparities and improving health education among minority women. I have proudly served on the Board of Directors for Calvary Community Clinic in Tampa, Florida, and am deeply engaged in professional and service organizations. I am a McKnight Doctoral Fellow and an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the National League for Nursing, the American Nurses Association—Florida Chapter, Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc®. Outside of my professional life, I’m married with three wonderful children. I enjoy reading, exercising, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. I live by the Golden Rule—"Treat others the way you want to be treated"—and one of my guiding mantras remains, "All great changes are preceded by chaos."
