Hello everyone! I'm Dr. Andreia Ranzan, and I'm excited to learn and explore chemistry with you this semester. I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, a Master's degree in Materials Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on tribology and corrosion. Science has taken me down many fascinating paths, and I love sharing that curiosity with my students. At St. Petersburg College, I teach General Chemistry Lab. My goal is to help you develop confidence in the lab, understand the "why" behind the experiments, and see how chemistry connects to the world around us. I believe every student can succeed in science with the right support, clear guidance, and a positive learning environment. I speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and I strive to create a space where everyone feels welcome and included. Please don't hesitate to ask questions, share ideas, or reach out whenever you need help – we're in this learning journey together. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy developing creative educational materials and finding new ways to make chemistry interesting and accessible. I'm looking forward to a great semester with you!
