Founder & Physical Therapist, Potter Physical Therapy, LLC

Hello! I’m Adriana Potter, a licensed physical therapist with over 17 years of experience in physical rehabilitation. I’m the founder of Potter Physical Therapy, LLC, where I provide personalized, one-on-one care with a specialized focus on Pelvic and Abdominal Health, Hypermobility Disorders, and General Orthopedics.

My journey began in large outpatient hospital systems, where I spent 13 years as part of the Women’s Health Services team. During that time, I developed deep clinical expertise in pelvic floor dysfunction for both women and men. My passion for treating complex conditions led me to specialize in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD)—areas where I’ve had the privilege of learning directly from experts such as Dr. Bradley Tinkle, MD, and Patricia Shimanek, PT, MPT, both renowned for their work in hypermobility care in the Midwest. Their mentorship continues to inspire my commitment to delivering specialized, evidence-based treatment.

I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University and hold certification in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation and Dry Needling (Cert DN). I am an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and its Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. I also regularly participate in EDS ECHO, a collaborative learning community focused on advancing care for those with EDS and HSD, which keeps me at the forefront of emerging research and clinical practices.

My clinical approach combines advanced training in lumbosacral decompression with a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges involved in pelvic, abdominal, and hypermobility-related conditions. These often present with complex, multifactorial symptoms and comorbidities. I pride myself on being a creative problem solver—thinking outside the box to help patients navigate their health journey, coordinate care across specialties, and provide hands-on, individualized treatment that addresses the whole person.

Outside the clinic, I find joy in exercise, walking, paddleboarding, cooking, and most of all, raising my four amazing kids. I strive for balance in all aspects of life and stay grounded through my Christian faith and active involvement at Lutz Family Church.

I’m always open to new collaborations and learning opportunities within the physical therapy and healthcare community. If you’d like to connect or explore potential collaboration, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at potterphysicaltherapy@gmail.com.
