Adrian Popescu is a full-time Physics faculty member at St. Petersburg College. He holds a PhD in Physics and brings more than a decade of research, teaching, and curriculum-development experience to the classroom. His academic background includes work at national laboratories and universities, with publications in peer-reviewed journals, research awards, and patents. Dr. Popescu teaches both lecture and laboratory courses across the physics curriculum, emphasizing conceptual understanding, quantitative reasoning, and real-world applications. He is committed to creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and build confidence in their problem-solving skills. His teaching philosophy blends clear structure with active learning, helping students connect theory to experiment and develop skills that transfer beyond the classroom.
