Adrian Popescu is a full-time Physics faculty member at St. Petersburg College. He holds a PhD in Physics and brings more than a decade of research, teaching, and curriculum-development experience to the classroom. His academic background includes work at national laboratories and universities, with publications in peer-reviewed journals, research awards, and patents. Dr. Popescu teaches both lecture and laboratory courses across the physics curriculum, emphasizing conceptual understanding, quantitative reasoning, and real-world applications. He is committed to creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and build confidence in their problem-solving skills. His teaching philosophy blends clear structure with active learning, helping students connect theory to experiment and develop skills that transfer beyond the classroom. Outside of teaching, he contributes to program assessment, course improvement, and professional development initiatives in support of student success.
