My name is Erida. I was born in Durrës, Albania. I graduated with Summa Cum Laude in Spanish Language, Literature and Hispanic Civilization from the University of Tirana and I'm a doctor in Spanish Language and Literature from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.In 2018 I published her first book titled: “Phraseology from the Translation Perspective. Case study: the first part of Don Quixote of La Mancha”, endorsed by the most renowned scholars in her field of research. She is a co-author in the prestigious Spanish project of Instituto Cervantes "Refranero Multilingüe" and combines teaching and scientific research with translation.I have translated from Spanish to Albanian the Spanish novel “Alhucema”, winner of the "Ramón J. Sender" award, and from Albanian to Spanish the most representative book of the Albanian culture and its customary law “The Code of Lekë Dukagjini”.I have received two "Gold Medal" awards for excellence in her Bachelor and Master's degree in Spanish Language, Literature and Latin America Civilization. She has published several articles in scientific journals and has presented papers and communications in national and international conferences. My main lines of research are Linguistics, Lexicology, Phraseology, Translation, Language teaching, etc. I am currently working on a phraseological dictionary Spanish-English- Albanian, that will be the first ever in this combination of languages. I am fluent in 5 foreign languages (Spanish, English, Albanian, Italian, and Portuguese) and I am very passionate about travelling (I have visited 45 countries so far), reading, history, politics, and sports (especially tennis and soccer).
