My name is Brandy Ziesemer and I am a part-time professor for HSA2182 (Health Services Management Concepts). I have been teaching HSA2182 for SPC since 2013. I have also taught HSA2001 (Team-Based Health Care). I'm active in two professional associations: The American Health Information Management Association - Florida Component State Association (AHIMA/FHIMA); and, Professional Association of Health Care Office Management (PAHCOM). I am the editor of PAHCOM's practice management and health information technology manuals and have published a medical practice management & technology textbook through Lippincott. I have a strong background in operations and project management for managed care organizations, and managing the user team for system implementations, and in management consulting for physician practices. I am also a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coder Specialist (CCS), and was an AHIMA ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer from 2011-2017. I look forward to getting to know each of you and exchanging ideas as I facilitate your progression through your respective courses.
