John Long currently holds the position of Associate Dean for the College of Computer and Information Technology. His educational background includes a Bachelor and Master degree from USF (GO BULLS!). Mr. Long is industry certified as an Oracle Database Administrator and has additional industry credentials in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and Certified Internet Webmaster Site Designer Associate. He has 19 years of industry experience in software training and was as an Instructional Staff Developer for the Career, Technical, and Adult Education Department with Pinellas County Schools for 8 eight years. He was born in Clearwater, FL and served 6 years in the United States Navy. Mr. Long and his wife have been married for 41 years and have two children, Anneliese, 29, and Brian, 27.
