Professor Eric DeNooyer's education thus far includes a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, Florida (awarded in May 2010), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York (awarded in May 1989). He has worked for St. Petersburg College (SPC) since the fall of 2004, first starting as an Adjunct Instructor. In the fall of 2010 he was hired on full-time by SPC for the additiitional duties of Instructional Assistant/Specialist, a role in which he tutored students in mathematics for the college's Seminole Campus Learning Center (part of SPC Learning Resources). In the fall of 2012, he became a full-time Instructor for SPC's Seminole Campus (SPC/SE), teaching students mathematics in the classroom and online. Most recently, in the summer of 2017, he was re-assigned to instruct at SPC's Downtown and Midtown Centers (SPC/DT, SPC/MT). His prior work experience includes being a Flight Instructor for Farmingdale State College (FSC), formerly State University of New York, in Farmingdale, New York (Long Island); he's also worked as a K-12 Substitute Teacher for Pinellas County Schools (PCS) in Largo, Florida; a Quality Assurance Editor/Supervisor for GEONEX, a former computer-mapping firm, in St. Petersburg, Florida; as well as an Adjunct Instructor for Hillsborough Community College (HCC) in Tampa, Florida.
