My interests and experience in biology are largely related to ecology and fisheries biology, completing internships with US Fish & Wildlife in Buffalo, NY and at Mote Marine Laboratories in Sarasota, FL. I had been employed with the NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation in Cortland, NY before moving to FL. Prior to teaching at SPC starting in 2011, I had also taught at Buffalo State College and Manatee Community College. I currently serve on the Advisory Board for Pinellas County Extension (Chair 2020-2022) and the Board for the Pinellas Beekeepers Association. I also am a member of the Community College Consortium for Heath and Safety Training (CCCHST)/ National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (PETE). In addition, I also serve as an AP Environmental Science reader for ETS. I also completed my master beekeeper credential through UF.
