Janice Thiel loves teaching and learning, and has been involved in education for over 30 years! She earned her Master's degree in Educational Technology from San Diego State University and her doctoral degree in Leadership & Education from Barry University. During her post-graduate studies, she began to focus on integrating technology in education, particularly Internet-based learning applications; her dissertation compared traditional to online instruction. Dr. Thiel has experience in K-12 instruction (John Adams & MBMA) and technology integration (ESC-2). Dr. Thiel joined St. Petersburg College (SPC) in 2002, and is currently working with faculty to build online courses and promote high impact teaching strategies.
