Office Schedule: My availability is aligned with my teaching schedule. I am available on the Clearwater Campus in ES 213H on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. I teach an on-ground, face-to-face class on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. On Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., I am available virtually/online. Additional tutoring or meeting times may be arranged by appointment.

Students are encouraged to contact me via email, phone, or text to schedule tutoring or academic support. Meetings may be conducted in person or virtually using Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

I think that appointments at alternate campuses may be arranged when feasible. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me in advance, as availability may be affected by teaching responsibilities, meetings, or travelling between locations.

George Wood is a cybersecurity educator and technology professional with more than two decades of experience in systems administration, technical training, and workforce certification preparation. He teaches courses that focus on cybersecurity, infrastructure, and practical technology skills that prepare students for industry certification and employment. He holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology Development and Management with a cybersecurity focus from St. Petersburg College, where he graduated magna cum laude. He completed his graduate degree summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. George’s professional background spans both public and private sectors, with expertise in operating systems, server administration, cybersecurity fundamentals, and certification preparation. His work emphasizes hands-on learning, real-world problem solving, and aligning classroom instruction with workforce expectations. He holds industry certifications, including Cisco CyberOps Associate, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, and Microsoft professional certifications. His teaching approach centers on student support, certification readiness, and helping learners build confidence as they transition into technology and cybersecurity careers. Outside the classroom, George enjoys international travel, cooking, watching sports, and spending time with family.
