Dr. Giulio Ronzoni is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management, College of Health and Human Performance, at the University of Florida. He was “Made in Italy” and grew up there until High School, where he studied subjects such as Latin, Classical Greek, and Philosophy. He then moved to Nîmes, France, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Hotel and Tourism Management, and an MBA in International Hotel Management and Business Administration. From working at the front office in Paris, at the “Bar Americain” and Michelin-starred “Salle Empire” restaurant at the iconic “Hotel de Paris” in Monte Carlo, organizing the Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Yacht Show, the ATP Rolex Masters of Tennis, and the Royal Wedding events in Monte Carlo, assisting the IT Manager and the Director of Finance at the Ritz-Carlton in Ireland, and assisting the Hotel's General Managers in Paris, Menton, and Roquebrune (France), Dr. Giulio have experienced several aspects of this vast industry. Landed in the US for the first time in August 2015, he earned his Ph.D. in Hospitality Management at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. After earning his Doctoral degree, Dr. Giulio worked for 1.5 years as an Adjunct for the University of Central Florida, and 2 years as a full-time Instructor in the School of Travel Industry Management, Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where he also held the position of the Graduate Program Director. He is currently an Instructional Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, as well as an Online Adjunct at St. Petersburg College. As a Lodging Industry practitioner, Dr. Giulio is genuinely interested in studying and researching different areas, such as Guest Delight, Branding, Diversity and Intercultural Management, Human Trafficking, and Senior Living Management.
