Hi. I serve as an adjunct professor of political science at SPC, where it is my privilege to help students grow both academically and personally. I approach politics as a science, guided by evidence and careful analysis, and motivated by a deep commitment to a more just society. In all of my courses, I work to create a learning environment that is challenging, supportive, and grounded in contemporary political issues. My teaching is shaped by both academic training and practical experience. I earned my B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University in 2009, and went on to complete my M.A. in Political Science at the University of Mississippi in 2015, where I also completed all but the dissertation requirements (ABD) for the Ph.D. in Political Science. I began my teaching career at the University of Mississippi as a teaching assistant and later as an instructor (2012–2018), and have also taught as an adjunct professor at Delta Community College. Earlier in my career, I served as an Education Policy Fellow with the Michigan Policy Network (2010–2011), an experience that continues to inform my focus on how public policy shapes the lives of individuals and communities.
