EDUCATION HISTORY: I completed my Associate Degree in Nursing in 1978 from Morton Junior College, Chicago, Illinois. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1981 from Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois. My Master of Science degree in Nursing was completed in 1988 at University of South Florida. National League of Nursing Certified Nurse Educator Certification Achieved 2012 Professional Organization Memberships: Advanced Practice Nurse Practioner License, Geriatric Speciality,: 1991-Present National League of Nursing: Membership 2007-Present Infusion Nursing Society: Membership 2010-Present American Association of Neurological Nursing: Membership 2010-Present Faith Community Nursing Organization: 2012 Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society: Membership 2013-Present Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator 2021-Present Professional Nursing Experience: I worked ten years as a staff nurse on an adult medical-surgical unit in a university-affiliated hospital after graduating from my ADN program. My next role was working in the oncology section of a medicine outpatient clinic for two years. I have always loved precepting new employees etc. so I became an instructor in the Pinellas Technical Education Center, Licensed Practical Nurse program. For the past twenty plus years , I have been a faculty member in the St. Petersburg College Nursing Program. My niche has been found in teaching the Semesters 1 and 2 theory, simulation and clinical courses. My love for teaching has led me to also teach Pharmacology, and Professional Role Development in the Nursing program. In the Health Information Management program I have taught online Medical Terminology, Pharmacology for Health Professional, and Principles of Diseases. Currently an Associate Professor in the ADN College of Nursing Program.
