Robin Jo Bower-Miller has been teaching at SPC for 38 years full time. In addition to teaching an Introduction to Speech and Speaking for Professionals she has taught, Organizational Communication, College Success Skills, Introduction to Communication, Oral Interpretation of Literature and Introduction to Business. She has been an active member of the Southern States Communication Association where she has served as President of the Community College Division as well as secretary. She received her Graduate degree from University of Maryland and Under Graduate degree from Towson University. She serves the faculty of the college as a Negotiator for the the Faculty Union. In addition to teaching she is an avid traveler having been to over 30 countries and all but one of the U.S. states. She loves hiking, brewing, Jewelry making, and reading. She prides herself on being fair, honest and genuine.
